Jesus loves little children and so do we! It is our aim to work in partnership with parents in teaching children the Word of God. This is best accomplished through our age-divided Sunday School classes. In addition, we seek to provide opportunities through our children's choir and Bible Clubs for children to "do ministry."
Missions Adventure
Children are divided into age groups (preschool, Grades 1-3, and Grades 4-6) which facilitates learning. Children enjoy learning about what God is doing around the world (including some video reports from the field) and participating in activities that reinforce what they have learned. In addition, Missions Adventure is an opportunity for children to be on mission with God through participation in various service projects (i.e., Operation Christmas Child, Backpacks for Kids, etc.). Missions Adventure begins in November and ends in March. Beginning in April our children participate in Solid Rock Bible Clubs (see below). When in session, Missions Adventure meets on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
Solid Rock Bible Clubs
In order to reach children, teens and their parents in our community, and to provide an opportunity for our children, students and adults to be on mission with God in our Jerusalem, we conduct Solid Rock Bible Clubs at a local apartment complex and Mobile Home Park in our community. During Bible Clubs, which meets each Wednesday at 6:30, weather permitting, children are taught a lesson from God's Word and also get to enjoy music, games, and a craft. It is a great time for our people to get to build relationships with those in our community and to shine the light of Jesus. Bible Clubs begin in April and conclude at the end of October. For more information please contact us.
Children's Choir
Since most children love to sing we offer Children's Choir so that children can learn and sing new songs. Once the children learn songs they have the opportunity to sing special music during our worship services. In addition, our children participate in ministry throughout the year by singing in our community (i.e., assisted living homes, AARP, etc.).
